I have used this 3 times since I purchased it. It is very helpful when I get closer to the pin and want a better yardage then my GPS watch gives me. Not that my game is that good YET. It is accurate and using the slope really helps in my club selection (its better than my guess in helping with club selection). I have not used it enough to really become proficient in holding it steady and finding the sweet spot when I use the laser, but I am improving. Several friends have this model and really convinced me it is worth the higher purchase price. The unit feels solid and well constructed. I am sure overtime I will master the locking feature faster. I do enjoy it on the practice range when I am not sure of the exact distance to the targets. Yes I know they should be marked however from time to time the range does move stuff around just to mess up the accurate yardage. I am satisfied with this unit and have no issues recommending it to others.

The rangefinder has a great price for how it works. It works the same way as a Bushnell one I have and it also vibrates when it “catches” the aiming point. It has a magnet to stick it in the golf cart, which makes it even better.

On a recent golf trip with my brother, he used one of these. We both previously had golf GPSs but as anyone knows, you have to have the courses loaded onto that GPS for it to work as well as hoping to have good satellite connectivity. Typically that’s not a problem, as most of them have all the courses you would ever play already available. With this laser range finder however, it allows me to easily and quickly determine the distance to any spot on the golf course that I play. I particularly like the feature that determines the slope of the land to give you not only the actual distance to the flag stick but the plane distance to the flagstick as well. After seeing his and using his in that round, I came home and immediately ordered mine and have used it ever cents. Quite happy with it as well as the magnet that holds it on the golf cart rail. The bad part about this is people at the golf course tell me they have several of these GPSs because people accidentally leave them on the golf cart rail and forget about it. Just be aware of that house that would be an expensive mistake. Overall, it’s the only way to go for distance accuracy.

So this rangefinder purchased in Oct 2022 with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty failed in August 2023. The crystal display would not fill so I could not read the yardages. I called Callaway Golf as listed under “Product Support” and was advised that their warranties were handled by IZZO Golf. I called IZZO and talked with Jeffery who took my info and said he would send me an email regarding steps to take to facilitate the repair. Several weeks go by and I call Izzo again on Sept 21, 2023. This time I talk with Eric and he says to provide proof of purchase. I do and he sends me a shipping label for return. I return the Range Finder with description of issues. I receive my original Rangefinder back on Oct 23, 2023, with two new batteries and no explanations of what they repaired. I test the Rangefinder with both batteries and the same problem exists. I call IZZO back on Oct 25, 2023, and talk again with Eric. After I explain that nothing was repaired on the rangefinder, Eric states they will send me a replacement within 48 hrs. and that I should return the old rangefinder using the shipping label they will send. By Nov 8, 2023, I have not received the replacement rangefinder. I call IZZO and again I get Eric. Eric claims they had a computer glitch and lost all outstanding warranty claims including mine. So once again I am told a replacement will be sent within 48 hrs. I let you know in an update next week.

I really liked this range finder for the first year. After year one (warranty ended), the range finder started giving crazy slope readings. The hole would be completely flat and the reading would give a 10 yard difference in the slope reading. I called customer (no) service and was told it was out of warranty and they would give me a 25% discount for a new unit (ha!). Why would I ever purchase another $200+ product from them if the first one only lasted 1-2 years. BUYER BEWARE! The unit will fail and Callaway will not stand behind it.
